As a Data Steward, you will take responsibility for ensuring the integrity and accuracy of data within your designated domains. Partnering closely with business users, data engineers, and governance teams, you will embed robust data governance into everyday operations to help enable trusted and compliant data usage.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee data quality and ownership within assigned areas.
• Track and report on key data quality indicators and issues.
• Develop and maintain business rules, data standards, and control measures.
• Assist in performing root cause analysis for persistent data problems.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve data discrepancies effectively.
• Work jointly with data owners, subject matter experts, IT, and governance units.
• Support compliance, audit, or regulatory requirements linked to data management.
• Ensure updates in data are accurately documented in metadata, lineage, and glossaries.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, information systems, data management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of three years experience in roles focused on data management, quality, or governance.
• Strong grasp of data quality frameworks, data definitions, and metadata management.
• Knowledge of data governance structures, lineage, and quality controls.
• Experience with data governance or management software tools.
• Skill in engaging with business stakeholders and operational teams effectively.
• Proven analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to act as a communication bridge between technical teams and business users.
• Excellent interpersonal and collaborative communication skills.

Preferred Certifications

• DAMA Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP).
• Microsoft Purview or equivalent certification in data governance technologies.
