Role Overview

Seeking a Data Scientist to join on a contract basis, focusing on designing and assessing data science deliverables with high precision. Responsibilities include creating grading criteria for various data science outputs and ensuring evaluations are consistent and well-justified. The role requires close collaboration with senior reviewers to refine deliverables based on feedback.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop targeted, task-specific grading standards for outputs such as exploratory data analysis, statistical models, machine learning workflows, A/B testing reports, feature engineering, and technical documentation.
• Assess both AI-generated and human-produced work against these established benchmarks.
• Compose comprehensive written explanations for evaluation scores and judgments.
• Maintain consistent, evidence-driven evaluations ensuring assessments are reproducible and defendable.
• Incorporate feedback from senior reviewers and update submissions accordingly.

Candidate Profile

• At least one year of professional experience in data science roles.
• Background in recognized technology, research, or quantitative organizations like top-tier FAANG companies, AI research labs, or elite quantitative funds.
• Proficiency in Python programming, SQL, statistical analysis, machine learning, experimentation methods, causal inference, and handling complex real-world datasets effectively.
• Outstanding ability to communicate technical results clearly in writing.
• Strong attention to detail and consistent methodology when evaluating sophisticated data science work.
• Openness to constructive feedback with the ability to adjust assessments to align with standardized criteria.
