About the Role
This position is for a Data Entry Assistant to join the Accounts Department on a fixed 3-month contract, based at Loyang near Pasir Ris in Singapore. The role requires meticulous attention to detail and the ability to organize financial data effectively, supporting daily accounting tasks through efficient data management and administrative assistance.
Key Duties
- Precisely input financial data such as invoices, receipts, payment transactions, and journal entries into the accounting system.
- Review and verify documents related to accounting for completeness and accuracy prior to data entry.
- Update and manage records for vendors, customers, and financial information within the system.
- Support the filing and organization of accounting documents in both digital and paper formats.
- Match invoices to related supporting documentation, ensuring proper documentation standards.
- Assist Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams with data entry and processing tasks.
- Conduct basic reconciliations and identify any discrepancies for further investigation.
- Generate reports and spreadsheets as requested by the Finance team.
- Provide assistance with administrative tasks at month-end and other accounting-related duties.
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding financial and company records.
- Carry out additional administrative duties as directed by the Finance or Accounts team.
Qualifications and Experience
- Education level: Minimum GCE 'O' Level, NITEC, Diploma, or equivalent.
- Prior experience in data entry, administrative roles, or accounting support is beneficial.
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles considered a plus but not essential.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Exposure to accounting software such as SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, Xero, MYOB, or similar is an added advantage.
- Fast and accurate typing skills combined with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational and time management capabilities.
- Ability to manage confidential data with professionalism and integrity.
- Capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Availability to commit to a full-time role lasting 3 months.
Additional Information
Working hours are Monday to Friday, from 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM. The role is based onsite at Loyang near Pasir Ris.
