Data Analyst

Overview

TekStaff's client is seeking a skilled Data Analyst to join their team, specializing in HR data domains such as Core, Compensation, Payroll, Time and Attendance, and Employee Listening systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop in-depth expertise on HR data areas and related systems.
• Gather detailed business requirements by prioritizing HR reporting and analytics needs, capturing data flows, defining KPIs, understanding data lineage, and translating business cases into technical requirements like data mappings.
• Lead data validation efforts for ETL pipelines by preparing test scenarios, managing issue tracking, and supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Quality Assurance Testing (QAT), bridging technical and business gaps to guarantee complete data verification.
• Identify and resolve data reconciliation challenges such as inconsistencies, job failures, mismatches, and unexpected values to maintain data reliability across systems.
• Collaborate with Solution Architects and Senior HR Insights managers on data transformation specifications, reconciliation approaches, BI reporting solution integration, historical data merging, and ensuring compliance with Record Information Management policies regarding data retention and purging.
• Perform post-release monitoring of ETL job schedules and data quality by implementing rules, profiling results, tracking issues, and maintaining validation evidence.
• Provide ongoing HR technology system support and maintenance, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and standards, maintaining SLAs, and supporting business continuity as required.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Data Analyst, preferably with HR or information systems.
• Proficient in SQL and experienced with data integration processes.
• Hands-on experience building ETL pipelines, including test scenario preparation and issue management supporting UAT and QAT phases.
• Experience with SuccessFactors is advantageous.
• Knowledge of Bank policies and procedures, data governance, IT/ data infrastructure projects, and Power BI is a plus.
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is highly desirable.
