About the Role

Accenture New Zealand is searching for skilled Data & AI Managers to lead AI and data strategy initiatives for diverse clients from our Auckland office. This role suits professionals eager to helm teams or provide strategic data insights, contributing to transformative projects in the AI and analytics domain.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop multidisciplinary teams combining qualitative and quantitative talents to address market demands using insight-driven methods.
• Maintain and nurture client relationships to guarantee the effective delivery of AI and data-focused projects.
• Champion growth and innovative practices within the AI division.
• Deliver data-centric business strategies to senior executives and shape key strategic decisions.
• Offer expert advice to business leaders with persuasive, evidence-based strategies that surpass expectations.
• Oversee multiple projects across various sectors, crafting solutions anchored in empirical evidence.
• Effectively communicate analytical insights through detailed reports and presentations targeting internal and external stakeholders.
• Tackle significant challenges related to data governance, machine learning models, and natural language processing for both clients and internal teams.
• Express business value via compelling scientific storytelling coupled with sophisticated data visualization techniques.
• Develop AI-based language technologies that allow systems to comprehend and interact in natural human speech.
• Design and apply deep learning and neural network algorithms to convert raw data into practical insights.
• Manage entire project lifecycles, from concept and prototype phases through to full solution rollouts.

Qualifications and Experience

• Proven passion and expertise in leveraging data insights to elevate clients' analytical capabilities.
• Educational background in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Operations Research, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or comparable disciplines.
• Over seven years of experience implementing machine learning for digital transformation projects focused on analytics.
• Minimum of three years leading teams specializing in AI and data initiatives.

Technical Expertise

• Competency in Natural Language Understanding (NLU), Conversational AI such as Virtual Agents, and Narrative Science.
• Skills in Speech-to-Text, Text-to-Speech technologies, and AI-driven linguistic solutions.
• Experience in Computer Vision tasks including facial and handwriting recognition.
• Working knowledge of Snowflake, Apache Spark, Microsoft Azure Machine Learning, mathematical optimization, and sentiment analysis methodologies.
