Dark Store Manager

About the Role

We are seeking a Dark Store Manager to oversee comprehensive store operations in various Chennai locations including Sholinganalur, Perumbakkam, Pudhubakkam, Padur, Navallur, Perunkudi, Thoraipakkam, Mambakkam, Medvakkam, Kazhipattur, and Kelambakkam. This role involves ensuring efficient handling of receiving, inventory management, outbound shipments, and returns processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end store functions including receiving, inventory control, shipping, and returns.
• Lead and supervise a substantial team comprising 150 to 200 store staff and 50 to 100 delivery personnel, including training and work delegation.
• Develop rosters and ensure effective workforce planning.
• Champion superior customer service standards to enhance customer satisfaction.
• Ensure adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and monitor store performance metrics diligently.
• Follow and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs), maintain mandatory registers and records as per company policies.
• Maintain quality standards aligned with company-defined benchmarks.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

• Demonstrated expertise in inventory management including inward/outward stock, write-offs, and cycle counts, particularly in the Fruits & Vegetables (F&V) and FMCG sectors.
• Proven experience managing large teams, preferably handling 100 or more store employees.
• Excellent communication skills both in Tamil and English.
• Experience from large format retail, FMCG, or e-commerce industries.
• Professional presentation and communication capabilities.
• Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience.
• Willingness to relocate to Chennai and join immediately.
