We are currently seeking a Cyber Security Engineer for a 9-month fixed-term contract. This role will deliver centralized security services across Fisher & Paykel’s global infrastructure, encompassing operations in Australia, USA, China, Thailand, and New Zealand. You will serve as a subject matter expert, collaborating with internal stakeholders and external vendors to manage security architecture, standards, and implementations aligned with best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Integrate security practices throughout the organization via risk assessments, threat modeling, and managing vulnerabilities.
- Work jointly with diverse teams to foster a security-first mindset and ensure best practices are incorporated across business and technical functions.
- Monitor and respond to security incidents with a comprehensive understanding of threats to protect assets.
- Implement robust identity and access management measures to protect systems and data.
- Develop expertise continuously in areas including network, cloud, endpoint, and data security.
- Utilize a wide array of cyber security tools such as threat intelligence platforms, SIEM, vulnerability scanners, and monitoring solutions.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in cyber security roles like Security Engineer or Analyst.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise security technologies including endpoint protection, network security, and identity management.
- Familiarity with essential security tools such as endpoint detection and response (EDR), threat hunting, zero trust network access (ZTNA), secure web gateways, endpoint management, mobile security, email security, threat protection, security awareness training, and SIEM platforms.
- Knowledge of cloud security concepts within environments like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- A proactive learner with strong problem-solving skills, able to adapt to the changing security landscape.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities to promote security best practices to varied audiences.
