Introduction
This role offers a hands-on opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the establishment and expansion of a new service and calibration laboratory in Saudi Arabia. You will join a small but ambitious team devoted to delivering fast, high-quality services with excellent customer satisfaction.
Role Overview
As a key member of this growing operation, you will manage daily tasks involving customer support, logistics, and customs compliance. Your responsibilities will span from receiving and inspecting equipment shipments to coordinating outgoing logistics and ensuring proper customs documentation. Your engagement will be instrumental in shaping efficient lab operations and ensuring seamless shipment flow.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver prompt, clear, and professional communication to uphold strong customer satisfaction.
- Address customer concerns effectively and facilitate issue resolution.
- Serve as the main contact point for customers on shipment updates, service status, and delivery schedules.
- Work collaboratively with technical teams and operations to meet customer expectations.
- Manage receiving of equipment shipments, ensuring accurate inspection and registration.
- Verify shipment paperwork and document any inconsistencies or damages.
- Prepare and pack outbound shipments, maintaining company standards for labeling and packaging.
- Coordinate shipping activities with freight forwarders and courier services.
- Prepare and oversee import and export documentation such as commercial invoices and packing lists.
- Collaborate with customs brokers to facilitate smooth customs clearance.
- Monitor shipment progress and proactively address delays or issues.
- Maintain compliance with Saudi customs regulations as specified by ZATCA.
- Participate in ongoing enhancements of logistics and customs procedures.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Between three to five years of experience in customer service, logistics, or related service fields.
- Hands-on familiarity with international shipping procedures and relevant document handling.
- Basic to intermediate understanding of customs operations.
- Comfortable with physically handling equipment including receipt, packing, and transportation.
- Knowledge of Oracle software applications.
- Proficient in both Arabic and English languages.
