Customer Delivery Driver - Winchester Extra

Role Overview

Join as a Customer Delivery Driver where you will interact directly with customers, providing deliveries to their homes. This position involves more than just driving; it's about offering excellent service with a friendly attitude. The work is hands-on, physically active, and varied, with no two shifts alike. You will work mostly independently throughout the day with managerial and colleague support available at the base.

Work Schedule

• Sunday: 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM
• Monday: 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM
• Wednesday: 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM
• Friday: 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of your delivery van, trays, and workspace to ensure deliveries reach customers in perfect condition.
• Load your van securely and conduct all necessary safety checks to guarantee the vehicle is fit for delivering service.
• Communicate clearly about any changes in orders, substitutions, or short-dated products, reassuring customers and arranging refunds where appropriate to maintain a smooth experience.
• Handle products carefully, treating every delivery as if it were your own to preserve quality and customer confidence.
• Deliver within scheduled time slots, providing warm and genuine customer interactions at delivery time to make customers feel valued.

Candidate Requirements

• Foster strong relationships with coworkers to build a positive team environment and deliver excellent service to customers.
• Be friendly and approachable with both customers and team members.
• Adapt quickly to evolving customer needs and embrace changes on the road and at store locations.
• Hold a valid UK, EU, or EEA driving license (full or automatic) for at least 12 months with fewer than 3 penalty points.

Compensation and Benefits

• Starting pay at £14.18 per hour, increasing to £15.45 within M25 stores; some locations may provide further additional pay.
• A minimum guaranteed weekly working time of 16 hours, with some roles offering 12 hours.
