Position Overview

The Corporate Security Specialist operates with either direct or general guidance during assigned shifts, adhering closely to established protocols, post orders, and supervisor instructions. This role demands vigilance in executing assigned responsibilities, following escalation procedures, and alerting supervisors about incidents requiring higher authority. Performance evaluation is based on compliance with rules, responsiveness, and task completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform security-related duties during scheduled shifts including patrolling premises, monitoring various systems, and responding to incidents.
• Act as the immediate responder to security, safety, and medical situations, using prescribed response and escalation procedures.
• Conduct both scheduled and spontaneous patrols of the facility and surrounding areas to detect risks, hazards, or breaches of policy.
• Operate and oversee CCTV, access control, alarm, and life-safety systems, reporting anomalies promptly to supervisors.
• Manage and document entry to the site, including processing visitors, verifying credentials, and checking contractors.
• React to alarms and incidents by assessing situations and escalating to supervisors or emergency responders as necessary.
• Provide initial emergency assistance such as basic first aid, aid in evacuations, and maintain control at incident sites until relieved.
• Complete incident reports, daily logs, and necessary shift-related paperwork thoroughly and timely.
• Maintain and track issued equipment ensuring readiness; report any equipment issues.
• Support site operational needs, events, and high-profile activities under supervisor directives.
• Adhere strictly to company policies, post orders, and safety guidelines, reporting any deviations.
• Communicate thoroughly with supervisors and peers to ensure smooth handovers between shifts.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• A minimum of a high school diploma or its equivalent is mandatory; previous experience in security, military, law enforcement, emergency response, or industrial security is preferred.
• Familiarity with security operations including patrols, managing access control, monitoring CCTV, alarm systems, and emergency procedures.
• Capability to follow complex procedures, post orders, safety rules, and escalation protocols efficiently in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
• Flexibility to work rotating shifts which may include nights, weekends, holidays, overtime, and extended hours as operationally demanded.
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills necessary for drafting reports, maintaining shift continuity, and professional interaction with staff, contractors, visitors, and emergency personnel.
• Strong situational awareness and the ability to remain composed and make reasoned decisions in stressful security, safety, medical, or operational events.
