Corporate Financial Controller

Position Overview

We are looking for a seasoned Financial Controller to oversee accounting and financial operations across multiple international entities. This role, reporting directly to executive leadership, involves managing a small offshore accounting team and ensuring precise financial reporting, robust internal controls, and streamlined finance procedures. It is a hands-on leadership position for a proactive finance professional who excels in a lean environment and is passionate about building structure, enhancing processes, and driving operational excellence.

Key Duties

• Manage full-cycle accounting activities, including month-end and year-end close processes.
• Supervise and mentor a small offshore team of accounting professionals.
• Prepare monthly financial reporting packages to aid executive decision-making.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and analyze variances.
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP and applicable local regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate external audits, tax submissions, and regulatory reports.
• Establish and maintain strong internal controls and financial workflows.
• Collaborate with cross-department teams on treasury, payroll, tax, and HR projects.
• Identify and implement process enhancements to boost efficiency and accuracy.

Required Qualifications

• Over 8 years of advancing experience in accounting and finance roles.
• Proven expertise managing full-cycle accounting for multi-entity or international organizations.
• Comprehensive knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting standards.
• Experience leading remote or offshore accounting teams.
• Strong proficiency in managing deadlines, prioritization, and independent work.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder relationship management capabilities.
• Attention to detail with a focus on continuous process improvement.

Preferred Credentials

• Professional certification such as CPA, CA, ACCA, or equivalent.
• Experience with NetSuite or comparable ERP platforms.
• Familiarity with payroll operations and accounting automation tools.
• Track record of leveraging technology to enhance finance functions.
