Job description
Overview
This role involves monitoring and enforcing firm-wide security standards, conducting risk and threat assessments, and ensuring readiness for incident response across multiple locations including offices, client sites, and accommodations in the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Regularly evaluate threats and hazards affecting the firm and verify that necessary safeguards are implemented and operational.
- Perform routine control audits to track compliance with established security policies and follow up on remediation efforts.
- Maintain updated and accurate risk and safeguarding data through the company's security platforms.
- Validate incident preparedness measures such as emergency plans, contact lists, and drills, and assist with real-time incident responses and escalation when necessary.
- Support global security incident monitoring and respond promptly to safety concerns raised by firm members.
- Collaborate closely with consulting teams, internal departments like HR, Technology, Legal, and external security peers to provide actionable security guidance and implement policies operationally.
- Be available outside regular work hours when required to support incident management and urgent monitoring activities.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree preferably in security, risk, international relations, political science, or related discipline.
- Minimum of two years of security, project management, or analytical experience in a corporate environment, with preference for those having lived and worked in the Middle East within international corporations or NGOs.
- Technical proficiency including hands-on experience with AI tools to develop and customize security solutions.
- Ability to independently investigate risks and conduct structured risk assessments delivering clear, actionable recommendations.
- Comfortable navigating dynamic and ambiguous situations, often under tight time constraints.
- High digital literacy with a proactive approach to leveraging technology and data in work processes.
- Strong values-based work ethic highlighting integrity, responsibility, and accountability.
- Excellent collaboration and inclusivity skills, including openness to feedback and strong problem-solving leadership.
- Ownership mentality that encompasses issue identification through resolution, alongside continuous personal and professional growth.
- Fluent in Arabic (mandatory) and proficient in English at a business level.
