  • Develop and implement recruitment best practices at targeted national and local law schools.
  • Build and maintain strong connections with law school career services, student organizations, and prospective candidates to attract top talent.
  • Plan and manage on-campus recruitment events, including networking receptions, dinners, career fairs, and information sessions, ensuring smooth logistics and positive experiences for candidates and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate on-campus and callback interviews, including scheduling interviewers, managing communications, and facilitating the offer process.
  • Oversee the New York Summer Associate Program, managing budgeting, event planning, orientation sessions, work assignments, evaluations, training, and offer follow-ups.
  • Support onboarding, integration, and development initiatives for newly hired entry-level lawyers.
  • Maintain accurate recruitment data, records, and budgets for the office’s summer program and recruitment activities.
  • Manage financial processes related to recruitment events, candidate expenses, and summer program activities.
  • Contribute to data collection and reporting for industry-required forms and surveys such as NALP.
  • Work extended hours, particularly during peak recruitment times, with overtime potentially exceeding 20 hours per week.
  • Travel overnight for on-campus recruiting events throughout the year.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree with at least 2 years of relevant experience in recruitment, HR, or the legal field; alternatively, 6 years of relevant experience without a degree.
  • Preferred experience within law firms or professional services environments.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and spoken.
  • Capability to function independently and collaboratively within teams.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and responsiveness.
  • Leadership qualities fostering teamwork, client service, innovation, and excellence.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems such as Flo Recruit, viDesktop/viRecruit, Lawcruit, or equivalent is advantageous.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to new software and technologies.
  • Experience managing budgets and controlling expenditures.

The salary range for this full-time role in New York City ranges from $75,000 to $100,000 annually and is commensurate with experience. Benefits include multiple medical insurance plans, dental and vision coverage, life and disability insurance, health savings and flexible spending accounts, 401(k) and profit-sharing plans, fertility support, commuter benefits, student loan refinancing assistance, and more.

The firm offers generous paid time off including a minimum of 20 days, 11 firm holidays, and paid parental leave of at least 14 weeks. Childcare support through backup care programs is also available.
