Role Overview
The Contracts Administration Manager will be responsible for overseeing contract management specifically in government EPC and design-build projects governed by CPWD/FIDIC conditions. This role entails comprehensive contract analysis, interpretation, and active liaison with clients and consultants to ensure contractual compliance and address issues effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret contract documents thoroughly, including understanding scopes, obligations, and any ambiguities as per contract terms.
- Prepare contract appreciation documents to communicate contract insights clearly.
- Address contractual concerns, mediate communications with clients and consultants, and provide guidance to project teams regarding contractual and commercial obligations.
- Collaborate with site departments such as planning, execution, safety, and quality to guarantee adherence to contractual obligations timely.
- Ensure compliance with contractual requirements related to bank guarantees, project scheduling, occupational health and safety standards, and environmental regulations.
- Draft and coordinate all contractual correspondence in conjunction with relevant departments.
- Manage notifications on delays, variations, legislative changes, extension of time (EOT) submissions and observations, claims, and documentation like drawing registers.
- Maintain and monitor logs for claims and issues, performing delay analyses and associated procedures.
- Identify potential claims and support them with comprehensive evidence and documentation.
- Review contract program schedules prior to submission to detect conflicts and recommend necessary improvements.
Requirements and Skills
- Proven experience working with CPWD/FIDIC contract conditions in design-build or EPC government contracts.
- Strong knowledge of contract interpretation and administration.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients, consultants, and internal teams.
- Capability in delay analysis and claims management.
- Ability to coordinate contract documentation and compliance with statutory and safety standards.
