Content Creator

Role overview

We are looking for a socially minded Content Creator who can blend storytelling, visual design, video production, and an instinct for digital culture. This role suits someone who enjoys making scroll-stopping content, keeps pace with emerging trends, and knows how to engage audiences across modern social platforms.

The right person will be inventive, well-organized, and flexible, with the ability to develop, capture, edit, and publish content from concept through final delivery. You will work closely with creative, social, and marketing teams while also owning day-to-day content production.

This is a fully remote contract role based in the United States. The assignment is expected to begin as soon as possible, run for 2 to 3 months initially, and may convert to a contract-to-hire opportunity. The schedule is 30 to 40 hours per week with some flexibility. Pay is $30 to $35 per hour. The role may require occasional travel for content capture and on-site production work.

What you'll do

• Produce and refine social-first content such as photography, video, graphics, GIFs, and short-form animation.
• Tailor content for platform-specific use across TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Reddit, X, Snapchat, Threads, and newer channels.
• Create captions and copy that fit the brand tone and follow best practices for each platform.
• Work with cross-functional partners to shape content ideas and bring campaign concepts to life.
• Track trends in social media, culture, and the industry to spot timely content opportunities.
• Capture content in person during events, productions, and brand activations when needed.
• Share creative ideas, recommendations, and content plans with internal stakeholders.
• Keep content calendars organized and juggle several projects with different deadlines and priorities.
• Review content results and turn performance insights into stronger creative decisions.
• Assist with motion graphics, animation, and other enhanced visual storytelling assets when appropriate.

What we're looking for

• A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Design, Digital Media, or a related discipline is preferred.
• At least 3 years of experience creating social-first content for brands, agencies, media organizations, or digital platforms.
• A strong portfolio that demonstrates photography, video, design, and multi-platform social content.
• A solid grasp of social trends, audience behavior, and channel-specific best practices.
• Comfort using Adobe Creative Cloud tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, and After Effects.
• Experience with mobile editing and creation apps like CapCut, InShot, or similar tools.
• Ability to capture content using DSLR cameras, smartphones, and related production gear.
• Strong organization and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities at once.
• Confidence working in a fast-moving environment while keeping creative quality high.
• Experience with motion graphics, animation, or long-form storytelling content is considered an advantage.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for production and content capture needs.
• Creative, curious, highly collaborative, and comfortable balancing strategy with hands-on execution.
