About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Construction Project Coordinator to become a vital part of the Planning & Infrastructure team at Launceston Airport. This opportunity involves overseeing and coordinating a variety of minor capital works within an active airport environment, spanning building, civil, and infrastructure projects. The role requires collaboration with diverse stakeholders including airport tenants, contractors, regulators, and operational teams to support the advancement of Tasmania's fastest growing airport.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the minor capital works program, ensuring that projects are executed safely, on schedule, within financial plans, and meet industry benchmarks.
  • Manage coordination among contractors, consultants, tenants, and third-party vendors, ensuring adherence to airport policies, safety protocols, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Assist Project Managers with major capital projects by handling project documentation, procurement processes, contractor onboarding, permits, and stakeholder communications.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Proven experience managing building and civil infrastructure projects, demonstrating effective project and contractor management abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills capable of fostering productive relationships with contractors, consultants, regulators, and operational staff.
  • A proactive and positive attitude combined with strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving capabilities, supported by experience in construction, infrastructure, facilities management, or project delivery contexts.
