Job Overview

The Construction Planner supports the Project Manager in overseeing a portfolio of multi-million dollar projects. Responsibilities include preparing project documentation, reviewing proposals, drafting detailed scopes for contracts, and managing project communication and documentation workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Project Manager by coordinating project activities including attending meetings, documenting minutes, and managing communications with clients and partners.
• Maintain comprehensive contract files, project cost estimates, and schedules.
• Manage and expedite project data in the PMWeb system.
• Assist in preparing materials for meetings, bidding processes, and presentations.
• Coordinate and expedite procurement of materials and equipment.
• Collaborate with the project controls team under Project Manager guidance to verify scope, timing, or budget changes.
• Review contractor payment applications ensuring compliance with requirements.
• Oversee project photo documentation for progress tracking.
• Compile, prepare, and distribute final project records and closeout documents.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Experience or education in construction, construction project management, or facilities management.
• Understanding of construction costing, scheduling, estimating, purchasing, and engineering concepts and methods.
• Familiarity with accounting processes.
• Keen knowledge of various construction methods and materials, including the ability to interpret design drawings and specifications.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field or equivalent construction-related experience.
• At least two years in construction or construction project management.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.

The salary range for this role in Florida spans from $75,700 to $101,400 annually, with final compensation influenced by various factors such as experience, skills, and geographic location.
