Overview
Join Rizon's Queensland operations during a dynamic growth phase as a Construction Estimator, where you will evaluate property damage, generate precise scopes of work, and prepare detailed estimates and reports to aid in insurance repair claims. This role requires close collaboration with insurers, clients, and internal teams to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and insurer expectations while fostering strong relationships, accuracy, and quality across the claims lifecycle.
Key Duties
- Perform thorough assessments of property damages and formulate detailed scopes of remediation and causation reports.
- Oversee make-safe operations and engage specialized trades to handle complex damage evaluations.
- Ensure all cost estimates align strictly with prevailing building codes, legislation, and health, safety, environment, and quality (HSEQ) standards.
- Maintain effective communication with customers, insurers, and other relevant stakeholders throughout the assessment stages.
- Keep precise records and documentation within both internal systems and external insurer platforms.
- Deliver reliable and timely cost estimates, maintaining budget accuracy and minimizing cost overruns.
Candidate Profile
- Holder of a trade certificate or tertiary qualification in construction, with a builder’s license, white card, and a valid driver's license.
- Demonstrated background in building estimation, insurance damage assessment, or related construction roles.
- Comprehensive knowledge of construction techniques, materials, and applicable building codes.
- Experience compiling scopes of work and detailed damage causation reports.
- High attention to detail coupled with strong written communication abilities.
- Capable of juggling multiple priorities, adept at problem-solving, and resilient in fast-paced work settings.
