About the Role

Heidelberg Materials Australia is excited to welcome an enthusiastic and professional Concrete Batcher to join the team at our Orange Concrete Plant, NSW. We are looking for someone passionate about safety, dedicated to achieving results, and who exhibits a strong work ethic. Excellent communication skills and a readiness to go above and beyond for our customers are essential. While previous batching experience and computer confidence are valued, training will be provided to the right candidate.

This full-time position operates Monday through Friday with the potential for overtime and Saturday work depending on business needs. Batchers are among the first onsite with early start times and variable finishing hours, making flexibility crucial.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate batching and manage loading of Company fleet for customer deliveries.
• Make impactful decisions that influence the company's overall performance.
• Conduct quality control measures and maintain the plant.
• Maintain yard cleanliness and uphold housekeeping standards.
• Demonstrate full commitment to risk management and uphold Zero Harm principles.
• Oversee stock levels and coordinate ordering of raw materials to meet daily production demands.

Candidate Profile

• Dedicates themselves to delivering exceptional customer service and outstanding outcomes.
• Works well within a team, can multitask effectively, and makes swift, sound decisions under pressure.
• Possesses natural problem-solving abilities with a flair for planning and troubleshooting.
• Aims to contribute meaningfully to Heidelberg Materials’ business performance.
• Prior experience in concrete batching is advantageous but not mandatory as training will be provided.
• Possession of a Front End Loader ticket is beneficial.
• Holding an HR licence is highly desirable.
