Job description

Role Overview

We are looking for a proactive Compensation & Benefits Specialist to design, implement, and manage employee reward programs that help attract, motivate, and retain talent in a dynamic technology company. This position is crucial in developing competitive compensation frameworks, managing benefits offerings, and executing performance management initiatives aligned with our organizational growth goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with crafting and refining compensation and reward systems such as salary structures, job grading, pay bands, and incentive programs.
  • Manage the yearly performance appraisal and KPI-setting processes to ensure alignment of individual achievements with reward mechanisms.
  • Collaborate with leadership teams to advise on performance management strategies, KPI formulation, and compensation decisions.
  • Conduct market salary benchmarking and participate in surveys to maintain competitive pay positioning within the tech sector.
  • Analyze compensation data to inform recommendations for salary modifications, promotions, and annual reviews.
  • Support or oversee payroll operations ensuring compliance, precision, and timely disbursement.
  • Administer various employee benefits including insurance plans, wellness programs, engagement activities, company events, and CSR initiatives.
  • Develop and communicate policies related to pay, benefits, and employee well-being.
  • Contribute to HRIS-related efforts like system implementations, migrations, upgrades, and maintaining data accuracy.
  • Lead or engage in HR and process improvement projects, ensuring efficient execution and effective communication with stakeholders.
  • Produce reports, dashboards, and insights concerning compensation, benefits, payroll, and workforce analytics.

Candidate Requirements

  • Degree holder in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
  • At least five years of experience in Compensation & Benefits roles.
  • Preferably experienced within technology firms or fast-growing startups and scale-ups.
  • Practical knowledge in compensation benchmarking, job evaluations, salary reviews, and benefits management.
  • Experience in creating or improving compensation frameworks and reward programs is an asset.
  • Familiarity with payroll systems, HRIS technology, and HR analytics tools is important.
  • Strong analytical capabilities for data interpretation and actionable advice.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to operate autonomously, prioritize multiple tasks, and successfully complete projects.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Understanding of compensation best practices, labor market trends, and regulations.
  • Hands-on experience managing annual compensation reviews and performance management cycles.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and expertise in HR reporting software.
  • Proven project management and process enhancement skills.
