Key Responsibilities

• Consistently maintain standards that surpass expectations of guests and team members.
• Communicate clearly and effectively with customers, colleagues, and supervisors.
• Demonstrate teamwork by assisting team members when needed.
• Comply with all hotel policies and procedures.
• Observe strict personal hygiene and wear appropriate uniform and name badge punctually at all times.
• Ensure cleanliness of the kitchen and equipment is maintained and monitored.
• Prepare your workstation and mise en place according to daily needs and stock lists.
• Check and oversee the setup and mise en place of assigned staff to ensure tasks are followed accurately.
• Control portion sizes and presentation quality before passing dishes on.
• Complete a thorough handover to the next shift supervisor.
• Support duties as assigned by management and assist the Chef de Partie as required.
• Be fully knowledgeable about daily specials, promotions, and standard menu items including recipes.

Qualifications and Skills

• Prior experience working in a culinary setting is essential.
• Possession of a bachelor’s degree or diploma/certification in Culinary Arts is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills paired with effective problem-solving capabilities.
• High sense of responsibility and reliability.
• Ability to perform efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Capability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Focus on guest needs while maintaining calmness and courtesy at all times.
