Job description
Role Overview
The Collection Manager is tasked with overseeing the recovery process of unpaid debts owed to the company. This role requires ensuring adherence to compliance standards, maintaining positive client interactions, and driving efficient operational processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute strategies aimed at reducing overdue payments, while closely monitoring aging accounts and outstanding receivables to meet collection targets.
- Lead recruitment, training, and mentorship of the collections team; establish performance objectives and conduct evaluations and coaching to enhance productivity.
- Assess delinquent accounts, particularly high-value or complex ones, prioritize based on risk, and authorize escalation procedures as necessary.
- Engage with customers and clients to negotiate payment plans and settlements, resolve escalated complaints professionally, and maintain constructive relationships.
- Ensure all collection activities comply with legal requirements and internal policies, with thorough documentation to mitigate potential legal and reputational risks.
- Prepare and analyze reports on collections performance, including trends and recovery rates; suggest improvements to optimize processes.
- Collaborate with finance, credit, legal, and customer service departments to support credit risk evaluations, policy formation, and legal actions for unrecoverable debts.
- Introduce and refine collection tools, technologies, and procedures to boost efficiency and customer engagement while balancing cost and recovery maximization.

- Performance is measured by metrics such as collection rate, days sales outstanding (DSO), delinquency and recovery rates, promise-to-pay adherence, team productivity, and portfolio aging.
- Location: Guwahati, Assam, India.
- Monthly salary range: 15,000 to 25,000 INR.
