Role Overview
We invite applications from experienced Cloud Engineers to join our team. You will support the design, deployment, and ongoing management of cloud-based infrastructures and platforms. Candidates should have proficiency in at least one major cloud technology such as Azure, AWS, SaaS, PaaS, or VMware. Your focus will be on building scalable, secure, and resilient cloud environments, enabling automation, optimizing performance, and ensuring smooth cloud operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Deploy and manage cloud infrastructure leveraging platforms like Azure, AWS, or VMware.
- Integrate and maintain SaaS and PaaS solutions effectively within cloud ecosystems.
- Utilize scripting and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools to automate deployments and infrastructure management.
- Continuously monitor and troubleshoot cloud environments to maintain system reliability and performance.
- Work closely with IT, security, and development teams to implement cloud governance and solutions.
Required Skills and Experience
- Hands-on experience with at least one cloud technology: Azure, AWS, VMware, SaaS, or PaaS.
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture, virtualization, networking, and security concepts.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python, along with automation tooling.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines is advantageous.
Additional Requirements and Conditions
Security Clearance: Due to the sensitive nature of this position, applicants must be Australian citizens and either hold an active security clearance or be eligible to obtain one. This ensures the capacity to manage confidential data and uphold stringent security standards.
Shift and On-call Responsibilities: This role primarily involves managed services, where you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing clients’ IT applications and infrastructure. You should be adaptable to shift work providing continuous support and be prepared for on-call duties to promptly resolve incidents and conduct after-hours deployments as necessary. Strong time management and a proactive approach will be critical for success in this role.
