ملازمت کی تفصیل

Role Overview

This role supports the Clinical Skills Activities Team (CAST) within East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust (ELHT), operating under DERI in the Clinical Education Team. The Clinical Educator will deliver clinical skills training, assist the Trust's Preceptorship Multi-Professional Programme, and provide coverage for other clinical teams within DERI.

Key Responsibilities

The role involves developing, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating clinical skills training to enable staff to provide safe, personalized, and effective care that enhances patient outcomes and experiences. Responsibilities include delivering practical training sessions on procedures such as venepuncture, cannulation, intravenous therapies, ECG, male catheterisation, tracheostomy care, Acute Illness Management (AIM), and Clinical Support Worker (CSW) AIM.

This position includes managing training groups to ensure equal access, preparing monthly reports on clinical courses, training progress, and preceptorship development. The educator will collect and analyze feedback and data to continuously improve course content, provide expert advice to ward managers, team leaders, and educators on skill implementation, international nurse support, and preceptorship frameworks.

The educator also must tailor training approaches to meet service demands and work autonomously to prioritize and organize their workload. Facilitating adult learning in a safe and supportive environment is essential, alongside organizing induction programmes for new international nurses and contributing to the enhancement of the Multi-professional Preceptorship Programme.

Additional duties include supporting other DERI clinical teams in course facilitation, serving as faculty for resuscitation courses (e.g., ILS/BLS as per expertise), driving service evaluation, identifying improvement areas, and leading quality improvement initiatives across the Trust.

Work Schedule and Location

This is a full-time role primarily scheduled Monday through Friday between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm, with flexibility for training needs. The educator will operate mainly between the Royal Blackburn and Burnley General Hospitals but may be required to work across all ELHT sites.
