About the Role

Royal York Property Management is a prominent property management firm in Canada, overseeing thousands of residential rental units in Ontario. We seek dependable and detail-oriented Cleaners to expand our team of cleaning specialists. This position involves a variety of cleaning tasks such as preparing units for move-in and move-out, thorough vacancy turnovers, and routine housekeeping in occupied residences. Cleaners will travel independently to scheduled locations and are responsible for meeting the company's high-quality cleaning standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform move-in and move-out cleaning for residential rental properties
• Execute comprehensive turnover cleaning for vacant apartments and houses
• Deliver regular housekeeping services in homes that are currently occupied
• Clean various areas including kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, living rooms, floors, and common surfaces
• Handle detailed cleaning tasks such as cleaning baseboards, the insides of cabinets, and appliances
• Utilize a mobile app to receive assignments, read instructions, navigate using GPS, upload photos, and update job progress
• Conduct self-inspection of completed work to ensure compliance with company standards
• Report any damages, maintenance issues, or cleaning challenges encountered during appointments
• Travel between appointments using a personal vehicle

Candidate Requirements

• At least two years of paid experience in professional cleaning
• Comfortable with both turnover cleaning and routine housekeeping tasks
• Ownership of a reliable vehicle for transportation and carrying supplies
• Possession of personal cleaning supplies and necessary equipment
• Access to a compatible smartphone capable of running a mobile work application, including GPS navigation, photo capture, and instruction reading
• Ability to clean detailed areas such as kitchens, bathrooms, baseboards, cabinets, and appliances thoroughly
• Capability to work independently following detailed cleaning procedures
• Basic proficiency in English communication
• Dependability, punctuality, and familiarity with GPS-based arrival confirmations
