Role Overview

We are seeking diligent Cleaners to maintain the cleanliness and hygiene standards at our retail store in Hove. You will be integral in creating a welcoming shopping environment for customers by ensuring the store and its surroundings are spotless and well-maintained.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain overall cleanliness of the store to high standards.
• Keep trolley bays, parking areas, and exterior spaces tidy and inviting.
• Operate industrial cleaning equipment safely and effectively.
• Clean staff welfare areas including toilets and waste management facilities.
• Perform minor maintenance duties as necessary.
• Ensure compliance with hygiene and health and safety protocols.

Requirements

• Previous experience in cleaning or maintenance is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Practical, hands-on attitude with attention to detail.
• Strong motivation to deliver excellent results for the store and team.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative in completing tasks thoroughly.

Compensation and Benefits

• Hourly wage from £13.45 to £13.65, with additional pay for bank holidays (£2.00/hr) and night shifts (£3.50/hr).
• Weekly contract of 37.5 hours, Monday to Friday from 6am to 2pm.
• Annual leave entitlement of 30 to 35 days on a pro-rated basis.
