About the Role

Our client is seeking a dependable and detail-focused Cleaner to service residential rental properties. The position involves thorough cleaning during move-in, move-out, rental turnovers, and ensuring properties are ready for showings, inspections, or occupancy.

The company manages residential rentals and provides support to property owners, tenants, and internal staff by handling leasing, maintenance coordination, inspections, property access, and various aspects of property management.

Key Responsibilities

• Attend scheduled cleaning appointments at residential rental properties, including move-in and move-out cleans as well as rental turnovers.
• Perform comprehensive cleaning covering general areas such as kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, living rooms, hallways, and all surfaces.
• Clean appliances inside and out including refrigerators, stoves, ovens, microwaves, dishwashers, washers, and dryers.
• Remove dust, debris, trash, and any remaining items from premises.
• Wipe down counters, sinks, mirrors, doors, baseboards, and high-contact points to maintain high cleanliness standards.
• Use vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and other appropriate floor cleaning methods.
• Identify spots requiring additional cleaning, removal of junk, repairs, maintenance, or attention before final property readiness.
• Document completed work with clear before-and-after photos and videos.
• Provide detailed updates, notes, and communicate clearly with property owners, tenants, prospective tenants, and internal team members.
• Follow company-provided cleaning checklists, appointment details, and property access instructions precisely.

Requirements

• Prior experience in roles such as cleaner, housekeeper, residential cleaning contractor, or similar capacities with solid knowledge of residential cleaning standards.
• Reliable transportation to travel between properties.
• Own necessary cleaning supplies and equipment for job appointments.
• Comfortable working independently at various residential sites.
• Possession of a smartphone equivalent to or better than iPhone 13 capable of taking clear photos and videos.
• Ability to write clear, concise notes and submit updates after each cleaning session.
• Strong professionalism demonstrated through punctuality, reliability, attention to detail, and respectful communication.
• Able to follow detailed instructions, including checklists and property access information.

Desirable Attributes

• Experience particularly with move-in, move-out, or rental turnover cleaning within the residential rental market.
• Familiarity with preparing rental properties specifically for photos, showings, inspections, and move-ins.
• Eye for identifying damage, maintenance issues, junk removal needs, pest concerns, access problems, or unsafe conditions during visits.
• Previous work independently in field roles related to property management, leasing, cleaning, or home services.

• Reliable means of transportation for traveling to various locations.
• Self-provided cleaning supplies and equipment for each assignment.
• A high-quality camera smartphone for documenting work.
• Capability to prepare and submit thorough reports including photos, videos, and notes.

Additional Information

This role centers exclusively on cleaning and preparing properties for occupancy and inspection. Cleaners must report any observed damages, maintenance needs, junk removal requirements, pest issues, access concerns, or safety hazards promptly so the internal team can address these as necessary.
