Position Overview
This role is situated at the Wesham Hospital Rehabilitation Unit, with work hours from 8 AM to 4 PM, Monday through Friday. As a Cleaner, you will play a vital role in sustaining a clean, safe, and inviting environment for clients, colleagues, and visitors across various OCS locations. You will adhere to established cleaning and hygiene standards, complying with health and safety regulations and company principles.
Key Duties
- Execute routine cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, mopping, dusting, wiping surfaces, and emptying waste bins according to site protocols.
- Maintain cleanliness of welfare areas, offices, corridors, washrooms, and assigned spaces to the required standard.
- Restock consumables including toilet paper, hand towels, and soap where necessary.
- Strictly observe health & safety policies, COSHH regulations, and cleaning procedures at all times.
- Operate cleaning tools and materials safely and properly.
- Promptly report any maintenance needs, damages, or hazards to supervisors.
- Efficiently manage workload to meet allocated timeframes.
- Maintain professionalism and courteousness when engaging with clients, customers, and colleagues.
- Support any site-specific cleaning requirements as instructed by management.
Candidate Profile
- Possession of the Right to Work in the UK and readiness to complete a DBS check.
- Prior cleaning experience within commercial, public sector, or comparable settings is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Good knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and supplies.
- Familiarity with health & safety and hygiene practices.
- Capable of working independently and collaborating effectively as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Dependable, punctual, and adaptable attitude toward work hours.
- Ability to comprehend and adhere to instructions and established procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Facilities Management or working with contract cleaning services.
- Understanding of COSHH regulations or safe handling of cleaning chemicals (training available).
