Civil Engineer

Job Overview

We are looking for a competent and detail-focused Civil Engineer to become part of our team. This position entails designing, planning, and overseeing construction projects to ensure they are completed efficiently, safely, and within the allocated budget and timeline.

Primary Responsibilities

• Develop designs, drawings, and specifications for civil engineering initiatives, including roadways, buildings, water supply, and drainage infrastructure.
• Perform on-site inspections to assess construction progress, quality standards, and adherence to design requirements.
• Work closely with architects, structural engineers, and other relevant parties to meet project expectations.
• Efficiently oversee project schedules, budget allocations, and resource deployment.
• Examine contractor submissions, shop drawings, and material details to confirm they meet project criteria.
• Carry out feasibility analyses, estimate costs, and evaluate risks for proposed projects.
• Ensure all projects conform to local construction codes, safety protocols, and environmental regulations.
• Compile comprehensive reports, maintain proper documentation, and prepare technical presentations for stakeholders.
• Keep abreast of current industry trends, materials, and technological advances.

Required Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Possession of a Professional Engineer (PE) license or similar certification is advantageous.
• At least 3 to 5 years of experience in civil engineering covering design, planning, and construction supervision.
• Competency in civil engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or equivalents.
• In-depth understanding of construction techniques, building materials, and project management best practices.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and organizational capabilities.
• Effective communication and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
