Role Overview
KidStrong Southeast PA is rapidly expanding and seeks a passionate and energetic Childrens Coach to engage both children and their parents, making a meaningful impact through athletic and developmental coaching.

Role and Schedule Details
- Ideal candidates will have athletic or coaching experience, particularly with children aged 12 months to 11 years.
- Coaching focuses on brain, physical, and character development guided by an evolving monthly curriculum.
- Comfortable communicating with parents/guardians about the curriculum's purpose and benefits.
- Classes generally occur on weekdays from 9 AM to 11 AM and evenings until 7 PM; weekends run from 8 AM to noon.
- Flexible work hours depending on studio needs, with opportunities to increase hours through private coaching events.
- Pediatric Occupational Therapy or Physical Therapy experience is a plus but not required.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead classes ranging from 6 to 15 children, ages 12 months to 11 years.
- Implement the KidStrong curriculum accurately and maintain class timing and pace.
- Welcome students and their parents or guardians individually at the start of each session.
- Maintain an engaging, motivating, and professional atmosphere during classes.
- Demonstrate and manage various exercises safely and effectively.
- Ensure cleanliness of the facility including the lobby, bathrooms, and floors—perform tasks like trash removal, sweeping, mopping, equipment wiping, and mat sanitization.
- Utilize the KS Coach’s App to document class data and share progress with parents.
- Communicate professionally with staff using Slack and check messages regularly when off-site.
- Complete required training and certification through FranConnect as directed by headquarters.
- Operate in a physically demanding environment involving moving around the class and lifting equipment up to 25 pounds.
- Provide hands-on guidance to ensure children's safety and proper technique.
- Assist parents of children under three years old with class flow and direction.
- Participate in monthly staff meetings for curriculum training and additional required meetings.
- Manage Coach KidStrong Academy sessions during school off-periods such as winter and summer breaks.
- Achieve certified status through the HQ Training and Certification program.
Qualifications
- A genuine passion for working with children is essential.
- Preferably prior coaching experience with children within the specified age range.
- Experience discussing and educating parents on the KidStrong curriculum.
- Intermediate understanding of physiology, exercise methods, and body mechanics.
- CPR certification is required.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills that are positive and motivating.
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to completing tasks.
- Comfortable being in the spotlight and engaging with groups.
Compensation
The role offers hourly pay ranging from $15 to $24.
