Key Responsibilities

Develop and oversee enterprise-wide strategies for technology, cybersecurity, data governance, AI, and digital products.
Drive initiatives for CMMC compliance readiness and successful external audits.
Enhance cybersecurity posture adhering to federal standards such as NIST 800-171, CUI, DFARS, ITAR, and FedRAMP.
Consolidate technology governance, ownership, support, and procurement across various departments.
Assess and optimize current technology personnel, vendor relationships, and managed services, balancing build, buy, and outsource decisions.
Modernize and link enterprise platforms, including CRM and cloud systems like Salesforce.
Design future-ready data architectures including governance frameworks, integrations, analytics platforms, and potential establishment of data lakes or warehouses.
Formulate secure AI strategies tailored for sensitive and classified information environments.
Convert proprietary defense procurement data into insightful analytics, new products, and client solutions.
Lead technology due diligence and integration for business mergers and acquisitions.
Recruit and nurture a robust technology team spanning IT, cybersecurity, applications, and data functions.
Translate technology investments into tangible improvements in risk management, scalability, operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and revenue growth.

Desired Qualifications

At least 15 years of escalating leadership roles within technology.
Experience as a senior technology executive (e.g., CTO, CIO, SVP of Technology) in defense or similarly high-security regulated sectors.
In-depth expertise in federal cybersecurity standards including CMMC, NIST 800-171, CUI, DFARS, ITAR, export controls, and FedRAMP.
Comprehensive leadership experience across enterprise IT, cybersecurity, infrastructure, data architecture, and vendor management.
Proven ability to scale technological capabilities amidst rapid organizational growth or transformation.
Track record of successful technology diligence and integrations in the context of mergers and acquisitions.
Substantial experience with build-versus-buy strategies and operating model decisions.
Background developing secure AI, analytics, automation, or data-product initiatives.
Capacity to engage effectively with executive boards while maintaining hands-on involvement in technical priorities and programs.
Adaptability to ambiguous, fast-paced, and priority-conflicted environments typical of established startups.
U.S. citizenship with eligibility for security clearance.

Highly Regarded Experience

CMMC Level 2 certification or assessment experience.
Work within FedRAMP Moderate or High security environments.
Expertise with private AI platforms, secure analytics, or classified data systems.
Operations within Salesforce-centric enterprise ecosystems.
Familiarity with enterprise data solutions like Snowflake or Amazon Redshift.
Experience in technology-driven product development or commercialization.
Scaling organizations from approximately 100 employees to several hundreds.
Managing acquisitions that substantially increase organizational size or complexity.
