About the Role and Organization

Job Purpose

The primary objective of this position is to precisely process and document all fee-related transactions, providing respectful and professional service to parents while managing cash and other financial assets according to established policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive tuition payments and other school-related fees, ensuring accurate recording within the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
  • Reconcile daily cash collections with system-generated reports and deposit funds promptly into designated bank accounts.
  • Pursue overdue tuition payments and prepare detailed reports with observations for the School Finance Administrator.
  • Monitor and reconcile advance fee deposits, investigate unidentified banking transactions, and resolve discrepancies.
  • Keep a current log of both post-dated and current cheques to ensure timely bank deposits.
  • Handle payments for additional services such as canteen, events, and extracurricular activities, recording accurately in ERP and issuing receipts.
  • Manage petty cash including accurate record-keeping, balance monitoring, and regular reconciliations.
  • Provide necessary documentation and support for financial audits conducted internally and externally.
  • Ensure safe handling and management of cash and equivalent assets, maintaining daily logs and performing end-of-day reconciliations.
  • Comply strictly with the school’s internal financial controls, policies, and procedures related to fee collection and reconciliations.

Candidate Profile and Skills

Education & Experience: Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or an equivalent field, with a minimum of 2 years’ relevant work experience.

Technical Competencies:

  • Familiarity with IT systems relevant to educational institutions.
  • Ability to remain updated on IT issues and resolve them effectively to support daily operations.
  • Communication skills to liaise efficiently with staff regarding technical matters.
  • Capability to assess and maintain hardware inventory to assist senior leadership in planning replacements.
