Position Overview

We are seeking a Buyer to join our team at the Ennis, County Clare location. This role involves sourcing, negotiating, and procuring materials, components, tooling, and services essential for aerospace manufacturing processes. The Buyer will ensure timely delivery of high-quality products, uphold cost-effectiveness, monitor supplier performance, and adhere to industry standards and regulations.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Issue requests for quotations/proposals and choose suppliers based on cost, quality, and delivery capabilities.
• Negotiate and manage long-term pricing arrangements for critical commodities.
• Process purchase requests by placing orders with domestic and international suppliers, expedite shipments, and verify transaction accuracy while coordinating with the Production team.
• Handle communication concerning shipment discrepancies, changes in order quantities, delivery timing, and pricing, promptly informing relevant stakeholders.
• Analyze market trends to guide informed purchasing decisions.
• Track supplier performance to confirm on-time delivery and specification compliance; maintain comprehensive records of supplier interactions to ensure requirements are met.
• Oversee service and office equipment contracts by liaising with suppliers and monitoring compliance with service agreements.
• Develop demand forecasts by analyzing historical sales data and market trends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Supply Chain, or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in materials procurement or supply chain roles.
• Experience in purchasing within a manufacturing setting.
• Proficient with enterprise systems; experience with M1 ERP system is preferred, along with knowledge of MRP and ERP solutions.
• Strong analytical abilities with a solution-oriented mindset; capable of data gathering, research, and making sound decisions combining analysis with experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to effectively present information across various media and engage confidently with internal and external contacts at all organizational levels.
