Job Overview

We are seeking a Buyer to manage procurement activities focusing on apparel products, particularly knit and woven fabrics. The role involves maintaining accurate production and sampling records, liaising with vendors and internal teams, and overseeing purchase order creation and material sourcing. This position requires strong knowledge in apparel buying, sourcing, and product development with an emphasis on quality and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and update comprehensive production and sampling records consistently.
• Communicate efficiently with vendors and internal teams to coordinate orders.
• Create and manage purchase orders to meet production requirements.
• Perform style analysis and track fashion trends to inform buying decisions.
• Monitor in-house material status to ensure availability for production processes.
• Handle vendor management including order closure, follow-ups on submissions, and shipment tracking to guarantee timely delivery.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• 2 to 7 years of professional experience with retailers, buying agencies, or export houses.
• Experience specifically handling knit and woven apparel products.
• Demonstrated expertise in apparel buying, sourcing, or product development; knowledge of kids-wear is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of product and production processes.
• Proficiency in Excel, including advanced features, is mandatory.
