Role Overview
The Business Operation Analyst at HP is responsible for overseeing accessory shipment planning and execution to ensure timely delivery to factories, distribution centers, and customers, aligning with business commitments. The role involves closely monitoring accessory supply, inventory status, and shipment progress, identifying risks, and collaborating with key departments such as Planning, Procurement, Logistics, and Operations to implement corrective measures.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the scheduling and planning of accessory shipments for timely distribution across the supply chain.
- Track accessory inventory levels and shipment statuses, flagging potential issues and coordinating solutions with relevant teams.
- Support decisions around accessory allocation and prioritization to harmonize customer demand with inventory availability.
- Assist in Material Assurance of Supply (AOS) by monitoring material availability and supply risks affecting production and customer fulfillment.
- Provide support for New Product Introduction (NPI), product lifecycle transitions, and End-of-Life (EOL) processes through supply readiness assessments and risk evaluations.
- Contribute to Last Time Buy (LTB) planning by preparing data analyses, tracking supplier commitments, and overseeing inventory usage.
- Generate and analyze operational metrics and reports leveraging planning systems and business intelligence tools.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with teams such as Planning, Procurement, Factory Operations, Engineering, Logistics, and Finance to resolve challenges and refine processes.
- Support business governance through structured analysis, reporting, and clear communication of operational risks and required actions.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization, reporting automation, and improving data quality to enhance efficiency.
Candidate Profile
- Holds a first-level university degree or equivalent experience.
- Typically a fresh graduate or with up to six months of experience in a supply chain related function.
- Possesses strong interpersonal skills to work effectively across teams.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint, and other analytical tools.
- Basic knowledge of project management principles.
- Developing business acumen and technical understanding relevant to the role.
- Familiar with HP's overall supply chain strategy and concepts.
- Basic grasp of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and Available to Promise (ATP) systems.
- General understanding of import/export regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements.
- Basic skills in inventory analysis and related functions.
