Role Summary
As a Business Development Representative at Blue Mountain, you will drive growth by generating new business opportunities, cultivating relationships with prospective clients, and facilitating the introduction of Blue Mountain's solutions to key figures in life sciences manufacturing. This role involves close collaboration with Account Executives and Marketing to build a strong sales pipeline across Ireland, the UK, Europe, and beyond.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and identify potential customers, discerning their business needs through outreach and conversations.
- Qualify inbound and outbound leads by understanding and addressing customer challenges with Blue Mountain's software solutions.
- Establish and maintain trusted, long-term relationships with prospects, nurturing them into sales opportunities.
- Proactively explore new business avenues within regulated sectors including life sciences, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, and manufacturing.
- Arrange meetings and discovery calls between qualified leads and Account Executives.
- Collaborate with Marketing on campaigns, webinars, events, and digital initiatives to heighten brand awareness and engagement.
- Assist Account Executives in developing strategic account plans creating multiple engagement points within target organizations.
- Create and share content aimed at educating and engaging prospective customers throughout the buyer’s journey.
- Participate in industry conferences, networking events, and client visits to deepen relationships and expand Blue Mountain's market presence.
- Maintain accurate records of activities, pipeline status, and leads within CRM systems.
Qualifications and Experience
- 1 to 3+ years of experience in business development, sales development, lead generation, inside sales, or similar B2B customer-facing roles.
- Genuine interest in advancing a career in enterprise software and technology sales.
- Strong curiosity and the ability to pose insightful questions that reveal customer pain points.
- Comfortable with outbound calls and personalized outreach to build relationships from initial contact.
- Highly organized with the capacity to juggle multiple prospects and priorities simultaneously.
- Experience with CRM platforms like Salesforce is advantageous.
- Background in SaaS, software, manufacturing technology, engineering solutions, or life sciences is a strong plus.
- Collaborative approach, with a readiness to engage cross-functionally with Sales and Marketing teams.

Work Location and Travel
- Position based in Cork, Ireland.
- Travel expected approximately 10% to 25% for meetings, conferences, and events across Ireland, the UK, and Europe.
