About the Team
The Asia Pacific Total Rewards team plays a pivotal role in Visa's human resources strategy across one of its most complex and dynamic regions. The team designs and delivers comprehensive benefits programs aimed at attracting, retaining, and supporting exceptional talent throughout varied markets, regulatory landscapes, and workforce demographics. Operating with a strong foundation of trust and direct access to HR and business leaders, the team’s guidance influences outcomes experienced by every Visa employee within the region.
Currently undergoing active development, this period presents a real opportunity to shape how benefits are conceived, executed, and experienced across Asia Pacific. This includes integrating AI and data analytics to enhance efficiency and precision in advisory functions.
Role Overview
As a Benefits Consultant, you will strategically manage Visa's Total Rewards benefits programs across a portfolio of Asia Pacific markets. The position balances high-level advisory responsibilities with rigorous program management. Engaging with senior business leaders, HR partners, and other cross-functional collaborators, you will ensure programs are effective while maintaining exemplary operational delivery with compliance and quality.
This in-house role leverages influence over organizational impact, working with diverse stakeholders: from employees seeking benefits guidance, HR business partners handling complex situations, to executives and finance teams requiring insightful program performance evaluations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, delivery, and ongoing enhancement of benefits programs across assigned Asia Pacific markets, ensuring alignment with competitive standards, compliance, and Visa's Total Rewards and people strategies.
- Act as a trusted advisor to HR business partners on complex benefits issues, provide clear support to employees regarding their benefits, and present program performance and recommendations to leadership with commercial insight.
- Manage vendor relationships end-to-end, including selection, contracting, performance monitoring, invoice oversight, and negotiation to secure advantageous commercial terms aligned with Visa’s interests.
- Analyze benefits data to produce actionable insights on utilization, claims, and market comparisons, facilitating informed leadership decisions.
- Maintain compliance by ensuring benefit programs adhere to applicable regulations, oversee audit processes, and keep documentation, such as handbooks and plan materials, accurate and up-to-date.
- Contribute to regional projects such as new market setups, program redesigns, and enhancing Workday systems. Embrace AI and data tools to develop smarter, scalable work processes and lead process improvement initiatives.
Candidate Profile
You should approach your responsibilities with curiosity and provide well-informed market perspectives rather than merely administrative updates. The role requires adaptability to the unique conditions of Asia Pacific markets and a forward-thinking mindset eager to incorporate AI and advanced analytics to enrich decision making. Reliability in offering sound advice, accurate information, and consistent follow-through at all stakeholder levels is essential.
Work Arrangement
Visa expects employees to work onsite at least three days per week, with specific days coordinated by the hiring manager.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of eight years’ experience in benefits management with direct involvement across multiple Asia Pacific markets.
- Experience in both advisory/consulting roles and in-house benefits management is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical skills, including constructing cost models, interpreting claims and utilization data, and formulating data-driven recommendations.
- Proven ability to communicate and influence a broad spectrum of stakeholders, from individual employees to senior HR and business leaders.
- Hands-on experience with Workday and familiarity with benefits administration platforms.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication capabilities, with the flexibility to tailor messages appropriately for diverse audiences.
- A bachelor's degree or its equivalent; professional certification such as the GRP is advantageous.
