Role Overview

The Barista position is a full-time, on-site role located in Chennai. Responsibilities include preparing and serving a variety of coffee and tea beverages with consistent quality and presentation, adhering to food safety standards. Tasks encompass operating coffee machines and equipment, preparing light food items, maintaining a clean service area, restocking supplies, taking customer orders accurately, processing payments, and ensuring excellent customer service. Collaboration with team members is essential to facilitate smooth daily operations and create a welcoming atmosphere.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills to engage politely with patrons and coordinate effectively within the team.
• Proficient barista capabilities, including use of coffee equipment and preparation of espresso-based drinks following standardized recipes.
• Clear communication skills for order taking, menu explanation, and team interaction.
• Basic food preparation abilities with understanding of hygiene and safety norms specific to food service.
• Prior experience in café, restaurant, or hospitality environments is advantageous but not compulsory.
• Ability to stand for lengthy periods, handle multitasking, and work in a dynamic environment.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays, as per operational needs.
• Minimum education of high school or equivalent; hospitality or food service training is a plus.
