Job Overview

The company invites applications for a full-time Baker to join its production team located in Moorebank, NSW. This role involves crafting baked goods while upholding exceptional standards of quality, consistency, food safety, and production efficiency.

Key Duties

• Prepare, mix, knead, shape, and bake various bakery items such as breads, pastries, and sweet baked goods.
• Measure and handle ingredients accurately following recipes and production guidelines.
• Safely operate commercial bakery machinery to ensure smooth production flow.
• Oversee proofing, baking, and cooling stages to maintain product excellence.
• Examine raw materials and finished products to ensure quality compliance.
• Maintain rigorous food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness protocols.
• Adhere strictly to workplace health and safety regulations.
• Assist with ingredient management including stock rotation.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve daily production goals.
• Participate in ongoing enhancements of production procedures.

Candidate Profile

• Possesses a baking qualification or has equivalent practical experience in the industry.
• Minimum of one year’s experience working in a commercial bakery or food manufacturing setting.
• Experience with operating commercial bakery equipment efficiently and safely.
• Comprehensive understanding of bakery production processes.
• Strong command of food hygiene and safety standards.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality.
• Capable of thriving in a fast-moving work environment.
• Effective communicator and team player.

Additional Information

• This position offers a full-time permanent contract for 38 hours per week.
• The annual salary ranges between AUD 79,500 and AUD 86,500, plus 12% superannuation, contingent on skills and experience.
