Overview
This recruitment is part of the Operation Hire Hawaii (OH-HI) initiative, which accelerates hiring qualified candidates for roles across Hawai’i. Position Summary
The Auditor V role is a senior auditing position involving the supervision and participation in field audits of government accounts, business organizations, and regulated public utilities and transportation companies. The incumbent leads audit teams conducting complex reviews, prepares financial documentation and reports, and applies accepted auditing standards and accounting principles to assess adequacy of accounting controls and compliance.
Salary Information
Monthly pay ranges from $6,221 to $7,568 (SR-24, Step D to I), subject to funding availability, applicant qualifications, and other considerations.
Minimum Qualifications
- Legal eligibility to work in the U.S. as a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident alien, or federally authorized individual.
- A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution with at least twelve semester credit hours in accounting and/or auditing.
- Alternately, a bachelor's degree in accounting or a master's degree in accounting (or equivalent coursework) meet basic requirements.
- Minimum of four years of progressively responsible professional auditing experience demonstrating knowledge and application of professional accounting and auditing standards and principles.
- Supervisory aptitude demonstrated by evidence of leadership skills is required; direct supervisory experience not mandatory.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license may be required depending on the position.
