Auditor - Gold Loan

Job Overview

The Auditor specializing in Gold Loan will be responsible for ensuring branch audits meet defined turnaround times and adhere to quality standards. The role entails thorough evaluation of gold loan collateral and conducting security checks to maintain compliance with company policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate gold loan collateral using standard valuation methods.
• Conduct purity tests of the collateral using all necessary techniques.
• Ensure branch audits are completed within prescribed turnaround times and maintain high quality.
• Perform monthly systematic audits to assess the gold stock held at branches.
• Review previous audit reports, verify compliance, and report any discrepancies.
• Carry out security assessments during audits, ensuring Burglar alarms, CCTV systems, and weighing balances function properly, and branches follow security protocols.
• Travel as required to different states or locations for audits and related assignments.
• Conduct training sessions on gold loan valuation to increase awareness among branch staff.
• Maintain integrity by dealing honestly and avoiding any direct or indirect involvement in transactions.
• Safeguard company assets allocated for fulfilling job duties.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Exhibit a positive work ethic to meet deadlines under challenging conditions.
• Be prepared for extensive fieldwork and regional travel at short notice.
• Perform additional ad-hoc tasks as directed by the department.
• Exhibit managerial skills and support team development.
• Contribute to strategy setting and business delivery with the team month over month.

Educational Qualifications

• Graduate degree in Engineering, Technology, Mathematics, Commerce, Arts, Science, Biology, Business, Computers, or Management.
• Post-graduate qualification: MBA.

Experience Requirements

Between 5 to 10 years of pertinent professional experience is essential.
