Project Management Support
- Develop working relationships with customers and internal teams to encourage coordination and trust.
- Take part in team discussions, brainstorming, and planning sessions.
- Keep current on the company’s offerings, services, and broader industry developments.
- Support efforts to improve processes so work becomes more efficient and effective.
- Help plan, monitor, and manage project schedules, milestones, and deliverables.
- Work with internal functions to keep project objectives and timelines aligned.
- Create and update project records such as status updates, meeting notes, and risk reviews.
- Assist in spotting risks early and suggest actions to reduce their impact.
- Support scheduling and resource coordination to meet project needs.
Customer Success Support
- Serve as a point of contact between customers and internal teams to help maintain satisfaction.
- Support onboarding by sharing training, materials, and guidance on Ciena products and services.
- Track customer feedback and respond proactively to concerns to improve the overall experience.
- Partner with the Customer Success team on approaches that improve retention and engagement.
- Help prepare customer-facing assets such as presentations, guides, and reports.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or Communications is preferred; relevant professional experience may also be considered.
- At least 3 years of experience in the technology sector in a project management, customer engagement, or customer success role, ideally within services.
- Strong planning and time management skills with the ability to juggle several priorities and meet deadlines.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills.
- Comfort using Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, along with project management platforms like MS Project and JIRA.
- Strong analytical ability, attention to detail, and problem-solving approach.
- A customer-first mindset and commitment to delivering excellent service.
- Ability to collaborate well in a team and adapt to a fast-moving environment.
Nice-to-Have Experience
- Exposure to both pre-sales and post-sales customer engagement work.
- Experience shaping customer decisions through persuasion, negotiation, and building agreement.
- Involvement in identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities tied to customer objectives.
- Experience working across multiple countries or regions in a technology services environment.
- Use of data analysis practices to support product and service adoption.
- Contribution to customer advocacy and reference-building initiatives.
