This Associate Director role is an excellent opportunity for professionals aiming to elevate their career in property finance by managing a significant portfolio of mid-sized property sector clients. Additionally, you will assist the Client Director with overseeing high-value client portfolios. Your responsibilities will include driving high-quality credit submissions, facilitating deal execution, and uncovering new business and referral possibilities that contribute to portfolio growth and performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead credit submissions for complex property transactions, ensuring thorough financial analysis, risk evaluation, and effective debt structuring.
• Oversee and drive the execution of credit facility deals for property finance clients.
• Identify and pursue new business prospects and referral opportunities by leveraging internal and external networks to meet income objectives.
• Develop deep sector knowledge and maintain robust professional relationships within BNZ, clients, and wider market connections.
• Maintain strong partnerships with clients, valuers, legal advisors, internal product teams, and market stakeholders in the property sector.

Qualifications and Experience

• Experience in property finance, corporate banking, business banking, or related financial fields, complemented by a solid understanding of accounting, legal, and tax aspects.
• Excellent communication and presentation capabilities, coupled with sound judgment and the ability to mentor and develop team members.
• Proven proficiency in navigating complex credit matters, structuring and negotiating deals, and managing multiple priorities while effectively influencing senior stakeholders.
• A tertiary qualification in banking, finance, accounting, commerce, law, or related disciplines is mandatory.
