Job Purpose
The Assistant Manager serving as Shift Incharge for Domestic Logistics is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end logistics operations. This encompasses managing Non-Financial Approval (NFA) documentation preparation, performing cost analysis, supervising transportation management, and handling transporter invoice processing. The role ensures efficient and timely documentation, optimizes transport routes through vehicle tracking and auctioning mechanisms, and safeguards financial processes with accurate invoice reconciliation. Additionally, generating vehicle movement reports supports the sales team’s operational insights and helps improve overall logistics efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure prompt and precise preparation of domestic NFA and service order files.
- Prepare and update monthly costing sheets and detailed reports, providing actionable data to aid strategic cost management and decision-making.
- Manage the transport auctioning system while implementing and monitoring vehicle tracking technologies for enhanced logistics performance.
- Process transporter invoices within established 30-day credit terms and conduct periodic reconciliation of transporter accounts.
- Maintain and track daily vehicle movement data, producing comprehensive tracking reports for sales teams to analyze and improve delivery efficiency.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Internal: Collaborate closely with the Leads for Exports and Domestic divisions, Warehouse and Distribution Teams, and Customer Service department.
- External: Engage with domestic carriers, third-party logistics providers, local suppliers, and retail partners to ensure smooth operational workflows.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- A Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a closely related discipline is mandatory.
- Proven work experience spanning 3 to 5 years in domestic logistics or distribution, with demonstrated expertise in warehouse and transportation coordination.
