Assistant Manager - Asset Infrastructure Design

Position Overview

The Assistant Manager for Asset Infrastructure Design is tasked with developing, planning, and executing comprehensive IT infrastructure solutions that align with the organization's strategic goals. This role involves leading technical coordination efforts among vendors and stakeholders to ensure infrastructure projects meet security standards, efficiency benchmarks, and compliance regulations. Additionally, the position emphasizes continuous enhancement by investigating new technologies and shaping infrastructure strategy and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee vendor implementation activities, ensuring adherence to project scopes, quality criteria, timelines, security practices, and governance frameworks.
• Critically assess and validate infrastructure design documents, offer technical support, address design and installation issues, and verify alignment with enterprise architecture and business demands.
• Conduct research on emerging technological trends, evaluate best practices in the industry, suggest infrastructure improvements, and aid the company’s IT and digital transformation strategies.
• Function as Technical Project Manager for designated infrastructure projects, facilitating collaboration among internal teams, external consultants, vendors, and contractors for successful execution.
• Contribute to planning, designing, and implementing scalable, reliable IT infrastructure assets that meet current and future operational requirements.
• Engage with cross-departmental teams, project leads, architects, and business stakeholders to collect requirements, update progress, and manage expectations.
• Identify potential technical risks, ensure cybersecurity and regulatory compliance, and execute mitigation measures throughout the project lifecycle.
• Develop and maintain documentation including technical standards, project plans, design records, progress reports, and change management logs to support governance and knowledge transfer.
• Assure that infrastructure deployments are thoroughly tested, documented, and ready for operational handover, facilitating seamless transition to support teams.
• Monitor ongoing infrastructure performance, pinpoint areas for efficiency gains, and propose enhancements to boost availability and resilience.

Experience and Skills

• A minimum of four years' experience in infrastructure implementation and management, including expertise in Extra-Low Voltage (ELV) systems.
• Foundational knowledge in networking, compute systems, storage solutions, virtualization technologies, security measures, and ELV/ICT.
• Strong analytical, adaptable, communicative, and collaborative abilities, with capacity to operate independently.
