Assistant Human Resources Manager

Overview

This position supports daily operations within the Human Resources department, focusing on recruitment, compensation, and employee development. The role aims to deliver HR services tailored to meet employee needs while ensuring compliance with relevant legal and procedural standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting and hiring qualified HR team members, maintaining relationships with external recruitment sources, participating in job fairs, and engaging with community organizations for talent sourcing.
• Support administration of employee benefits including handling unemployment claims, attending hearings, and ensuring accurate reporting.
• Contribute to employee training by helping coordinate orientation programs, ensuring cross-training for operational efficiency, and facilitating leadership participation in training sessions.
• Maintain effective communication with employees through various channels, assist in monitoring disciplinary procedures, and address employee concerns promptly or escalate when necessary.
• Ensure legal and procedural compliance by managing employee records securely, facilitating drug testing programs, communicating safety policies, and overseeing workers compensation claims management.

Candidate Profile

• High school diploma or GED plus at least 2 years of experience in human resources or related management operations, OR a 2-year degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field without required prior work experience.
