Asset Protection Associate

Position Overview

The Asset Protection Associate plays a crucial role in establishing and maintaining a safe and efficient environment for customers, employees, visitors, and vendors. This position is responsible for promoting a positive and professional demeanor at all times, while focusing on reducing financial and physical losses to enhance profitability.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily security patrols across the store premises to ensure all doors, showcases, and security systems are intact and functioning correctly.
• Make external arrests as required under relevant policies.
• Conduct thorough investigations into incidents of financial or physical shrinkage, reporting findings to Store Leadership and, in cases involving internal matters, notifying the Market Loss Prevention Manager as a first step.
• Assist with store evacuation procedures during fire alarms or other emergencies.
• Participate actively in assigned store task teams as necessary.
• Lead or support investigations relating to internal theft, dishonesty, external organized retail crime, and special cases designated by Walmart Canada Global Ethics, adhering strictly to company policies and timely process completion.
• Effectively communicate information acquired from various sources, clarifying issues by presenting multiple viewpoints to others.
• Additional duties may be assigned to meet evolving company needs.

Compensation

The position's starting hourly wage is $19.35.

Minimum Requirements

• Applicant must be at least 16 years old.
• Possession of a valid Security Guard License is mandatory.
