Key Responsibilities
- Conduct all Scrum ceremonies—Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives—ensuring they are focused, efficient, and time-bound.
- Mentor and coach Scrum Teams in Agile principles and Scrum best practices to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Serve as a servant-leader by resolving impediments swiftly and shielding the team from external disruptions.
- Enhance transparency through effective communication within the team and with stakeholders.
- Provide dedicated support to the Product Owner in backlog refinement and maintenance.
- Foster a supportive, blame-free environment encouraging open problem-solving and trust.
- Lead discussions, facilitate decision-making, and resolve conflicts to promote team cohesion.
- Leverage Agile project management tools like Jira to monitor progress, manage backlogs, and deliver insightful performance metrics.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline, or comparable professional experience.
- At least 5 years of direct experience as a Scrum Master in software development contexts.
- Certified ScrumMaster credentials such as CSM or PSM.
- Proficiency with Jira for managing Agile projects.
- Deep understanding of SDLC frameworks and Agile methodologies including Scrum and Kanban.
- Demonstrated ability to coach teams effectively on Agile methods and Scrum rituals.
- Strong verbal and written communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional problem-solving capabilities focused on removing blockers efficiently.
- Advanced analytical skills with a data-driven and results-oriented mindset.
- Experience managing distributed, high-traffic cloud-based services.
- Proven leadership in initiating and driving cultural change within organizations.
- Background in successfully leading infrastructure-related programs.
- Expertise in collaborating with external service providers.
Preferred Qualifications
- Higher-level Scrum certifications like Advanced Certified ScrumMaster (A-CSM) or PSM II.
- Technical experience in roles such as developer or quality assurance prior to Scrum Mastership.
- Familiarity with additional Agile tools including Confluence.
