The Advanced Technician role in Process and Manufacturing Engineering is a pivotal position based onsite in O’Callaghan’s Mill, County Clare, focusing on ensuring production efficiency during night shifts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to reduce equipment downtime by quickly diagnosing and resolving production issues.
  • Perform root cause analysis on recurrent equipment failures, focusing on electrical troubleshooting from low voltage DC circuits to three-phase supplies.
  • Coordinate with Production Supervisors and Engineers to prioritize repairs and maintenance activities according to production demands.
  • Implement continuous improvement strategies using Danaher Business System Lean methodologies to enhance safety, quality, delivery, and productivity.
  • Maintain comprehensive shift handover documentation and ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety standards.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Possess a technical degree or diploma with 5 to 7 years of maintenance experience within highly automated industrial environments.
  • Demonstrate expertise in pneumatics, hydraulics, instrumentation, and vision system technologies.
  • Familiarity with quality assurance standards such as cGMP, FDA QSR, and ISO regulations.
  • Equivalent extensive professional experience may be considered in lieu of formal academic qualifications upon review.

Preferred Skills

  • Strong foundation in electronics and software-driven control systems.
  • Excellent analytical and structured problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience with PLC programming and comprehensive knowledge of electrical control systems.
  • Exposure to mechanical and pneumatic systems on production lines.

Physical and Other Requirements

  • Capability to handle physical tasks including lifting and moving equipment adhering to production standards.

Working Hours

  • Night shift schedule: Monday to Thursday, 00:00 to 08:00 and Friday, 22:00 to 05:00.
