Job Overview

The role of Administrator Shipping is responsible for managing all aspects related to shipping and transport logistics at General Dynamics European Land Systems in Kaiserslautern, Germany.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintaining effective communication with clients, external freight forwarders, and dispatchers.
• Handling customs registration procedures.
• Applying for necessary permits from the Federal Office for Economic Affairs and Export Control.
• Managing customer projects concerning the entire transportation process.
• Updating and implementing guidelines regarding customs and export control.
• Coordinating and handling driver logistics and dispatch.
• Maintaining and processing various data and lists.
• Managing and producing necessary documentation.
• Preparing and signing off on freight documents.

Candidate Requirements

• Successful completion of training as freight forwarding merchant, logistics or similar commercial education.
• Proficient German and English language skills, both written and spoken.
• Good knowledge of SAP R/3 applications.
• Experience with customs operations.
• Experience in export control is desirable.
• Ability to independently manage transport projects.
• Background in logistics is essential.
• Strong team skills and organizational talent.

Salary Details
